The GAA have confirmed that Sunday's NFL semi-finals will indeed take place as a Croke Park double-header. We're up first - with a 2.15 pm throw-in - and, once we've scalped the Tribesmen, we can sit back and watch Donegal and Kildare sock it to each other from 4 pm onwards for the right to meet us in the final. That's the plan, anyway.
No word yet on tickets but no doubt the details will be confirmed shortly.
So, it's Croker on Sunday. Apart from the much smaller carbon footprint I'll generate from the short trot down the road to HQ compared to bombing across the country for the game, I think the day out at our very own House of Horrors will do Johnno and the team the world of good, in terms of exorcising old ghosts and all that.
See you on de one-two-tree then, Tom. Maybe we'll rise to a few bars of Dubbelin in de rare oul toimes on the way in.

We seem to be living seperate lives Willie Joe - exiled in Dublin, trying to follow Mayo from afar. You're much better at keeping up to date than myself - fair play to you, I enjoy the site. Maigh Eo abú, ASF.
Thanks, Spailpin. At the risk of doing a John Banville/Richard Ford type of literary love-in, I've enjoyed your far more cerebral and wide-ranging site for months now. Keep up the good work. Come on the Green and Red!
